Privacy Policy
Last Updated: July 26, 2026
Welcome to MyLedger ("the App"), developed by Ndotcreation (ndotcreation). We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring that your personal and financial information remains secure.
1. Data Collection and Usage
MyLedger is designed as a "Local First" application. This means the majority of the data you input stays exclusively on your device.
- Financial Records: Information regarding your transactions, accounts, budgets, and categories is stored locally in a secure database on your Android device. We do not have access to this data.
- Security: If you enable the App Lock (PIN), the PIN is stored locally and is never transmitted to our servers.
- Device Information: We may collect non-personal information such as device model, OS version, and crash logs to improve app stability.
2. Permissions
To provide its services, the App requires the following permissions:
- Storage Access: Required for the "Export to Excel/PDF" and "Import" features.
- Notifications: Used to send reminders or for the optional notification listener (Auto-Sync) feature.
- Internet: Required for loading advertisements and performing licensing checks.
3. Third-Party Services
The App uses third-party services that may collect information used to identify you:
- Google AdMob: Used to display advertisements. AdMob may use device identifiers to personalize ads. You can manage ad personalization in your Google Account settings.
- Google Play Services: Used for app updates and security features.
4. Data Storage and Security
Because your data is stored locally, its security depends on the security of your device. We recommend using device encryption and the App's built-in PIN lock feature. We do not perform automatic cloud backups; therefore, you are responsible for manually exporting your data using the "Export to Excel" feature if you wish to back it up.
5. Children’s Privacy
MyLedger does not knowingly collect any personal information from children under the age of 13. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us.
6. International Compliance (GDPR/CCPA)
- GDPR (EU): As we do not collect personal data on our servers, your "Right to Access," "Right to be Forgotten," and "Data Portability" are fulfilled by your ability to view, delete, or export your data directly within the App.
- CCPA/CPRA (California): We do not sell your personal information. Any data sharing is limited to the third-party service providers mentioned in Section 3 for the sole purpose of App functionality.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. You are advised to review this page periodically for any changes. Changes are effective immediately after they are posted on this page.
